James Mason

Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development

James Mason, Jr. is a 2012 graduate of Norfolk State University. In college, he had the opportunity to serve as an intern with Virginia Cooperative Extension in Greensville/Emporia. While employed, he worked extensively with the 4-H program as he implemented youth programs that addressed food and nutrition and financial literary.

Since graduating from college, Mason has had the opportunity to work with Greensville County Schools as a math tutor and an assistant high school soccer coach. Mason has also worked in North Carolina as a caseworker with the supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) with the Department of Social Services in Vance County.

Mason is a native of Greensville County and has a true passion for positive youth development. He is on a mission to make the best better in Sussex County as he serves as the 4-H youth development Extension agent.
